I always thought that “somewhere” which is over the particular (fashion) rainbow would be Milan, or Rio, London, maybe even New York – but never Paris. Paris, which I believe is the birth place of the color black, is hosting one of the most colorful fashion weeks ever since 90’s Versace eras. Water color brush strokes on Chanel off shoulder dresses, confetti rains on Hussein Chalayan’s sundresses and rainbow stripes on Christian Dior’s baloon skirts. What’s more; even Phoebe Philo upgraded her game and added some fun into her sharp designs for Céline, Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli brought a breeze from Kazakhs with colorful ethnic embroideries on the signature Valentino gowns. It will be so hard for me to keep up with this trend, considering my color limit per outfit is 3 (black, white and preferably pink or grey). An embroidered skirt or jacket, maybe?

love this look.
really cool outfits!
I’m so happy we’ll be seeing bright colors! I saw that Chanel outfit on another blog and thought it was amazing!
The confetti dress by Hussein Chalayan would pair really nicely with a white bolero or cardigan – the colors aren’t quite as bold as some of the other dresses.
These dresses are so lovely; I would be happy to have any of them, though the top three are my favorites!!
I’m glad to see that color still lives! You found some beautiful outfits. The confetti dress is my favorite. -JoJo at Bluegrass Fiber Arts
