Golden Age of Dries Van Noten
The Antwerp genious Dries Van Noten truly caters for the modern women, offering a relaxed sophistication season after season. It’s the single collection that somehow offers trendy, sometimes overworked stuff instead of minimal, timeless designs and yet always makes me muse about new pairings and layerings with clothes that are already in my closet – as well as giving me the best hints about where I should invest my money not only for the next season but in general. I still remember the striped military blazer with assymetrical hem that was also subject to a law case between Van Noten and Zara, and even though it has been years – you can still wear it with grace. Same thing with last year’s sheer plaids and florals: nothing seems to be overshadowing their glory.
