I can’t think of another bottom – skirt, shorts, pants or otherwise – that looks good, I mean GOOD, on every.single.woman on earth. That super power is bestowed upon only and only one thing: flared trousers. Not bootcut, not boyfriend, not bell bottoms – flare is a complicated yet a Parisianly simple cut: fitting around thighs with gradually and tastefully widening cuffs starting from below the knee; flared trousers are the invisibility cloaks of real world. Elongating the legs by at least 10cm no matter how high your heels are and slimming you down 2 sizes at a time, it’s always a chic, safe, photo proof, easy to make a transition from day to night option that you should have in your closet in every possible color.
Why am I making a post about flared trousers now while they were always in fashion? Their only downside is (was) you have to keep on wearing your heels and can’t change into flats when you need to but now it’s acceptable, if preferable, to wear them with sneakers and flats with a shorter cuff. Hip hip hooray and fire the flare!
