1) Rag & Bone Dean Monogrammed Jacket

This particular monogrammed jacket was the highlight of Rag & Bone f/w 2014 runway, with each model’s name monogrammed on their jackets. Now you can’t get to write your name on it, unfortunately, but you can get one with “eight” which is a universally lucky number, you know. Or you can get on a waitlist and pay a month’s rent for a Burberry monogrammed cape, if you’re into that sort of thing. The bottom line: monogram is this fall’s “thing”.

2) Alexander Wang Cropped Knee Patch Pants

I’d seriously consider not talking to you anymore if you don’t own a pair of culottes or cropped pants by now. This pair does not only have the perfect cut and color (ottoman, even the name of the color is majestic) but also has that signature Wang feeling with pebbled leather patches peeking through frayed holes.

3) Marc by Marc Jacobs Junko Skirt

There are so many reasons to love this skirt I don’t know where to start; the wrap closure, asymmetrical hem, charm of navy and black together, a %100 wool shell but most importantly it’s the best hybrid skirt out there with full-length pleats on one side and a structured panel on the other.

4) DKNY Drama Tiger Cape

Capes and ponchos never go anywhere, I know this since they are my best friend’s favorite things in her wardrobe, but this season they take a big amount of spotlight. My weapon of choice was this DKNY cape because of its dramatic, asymmetrical silhouette. Superman feeling without the need to restrain the edges everytime you do something with your hands.

5) Thakoon Long Sleeve Wrapped Dress

I’ve been in love with this dress ever since I saw it and been trying to recreate it with my blue striped shirt but after various number of unsuccessful trials, I officially give up. It’s either this dress or no messing with the shirting wrap at all.

6) Matt Bernson Verona Pointed Toe Haircalf Flats

I already own a pair of pointed flats from Mango and I’m pretty sure that’s more than enough but I can’t help but lust after this haircalf pair from Matt Bernson. Lately I’m completely obsessed with haircalf and this one would be an amazing addition to my hairy collection.

7) Tibi Leona Mules

A mule made of light grey fuzzy, brushed tweed? Perfectly weird and absolutely clueless of seasonal dressing – they’re most certainly not essential but not not essential either. You know?

8) Aquazzura Belgravia Lace Up Flats

Don’t be upset if you never got to chance to study ballet nor has the legs, posture and heartbreaking story of a former ballet dancer; with these Aquazzura flats you’ll be the white AND black swan this fall.

9) Moschino Leather Shoulder Bag

Truth be told, I’m not the biggest fan of Moschino. Never have, never will. However I’m not the one to deny the Jeremy Scott effect on streets for the past 2 seasons. This bag is the lesser of all kitch Moschino evils, at least it doesn’t look like a McDonald’s fry.

10) Acne Studios Dita L Wool Sweater Dress

Three words: cosy, cosy, cosy. A cocoon silhouette with ribbed long sleeves and wide turtleneck, Acne’s sweater dresses are not to die for but to live in this fall.

11) Acne Studios Gaze PS Pullover

Memorize this print if you haven’t already, it is THE print of the season. This sweater or a printsake structured scarf are the best things to wrap around your shoulders.

12) 10 Crosby Derek Lam Cashmere Track Pants

Let’s call a spade a spade – track pants are not tres fashionable friends and you should stay away from them for as long as you can. If they come in cashmere, on the other hand, things might get wild. Or better yet, super soft. A luxurious interpretation of the comfortable tushy movement.

13) Rag & Bone Wide Brim Fedora

Size sometimes does matter people, and in this case, the bigger the better. Just like Rachel’s enormous beach hat, you need your fedora big enough to protect you from the rain and remarkable enough to be object of derision among your friends.

14) Thakoon Addition Fringe Skirt

Of all the asymmetrical fringe mini skirts out there, this wool grey piece is the only one that is grey, and wool. ‘Nuff said!

15) No. 21 Feathered Top

Final piece of advice; invest in anything that has feathers on it. Or in it. Or better, floating along the hem of it.

  1. Great post! I’m most attracted to the hat, although the wide-brimmed style has expanded my classification of the “fedora”. Great hat for fall, whatever we call it!
