You can make it whilst looking like a drape, a Hawaiian dancer or J.Lo. Just don’t bore everyone with yet another princess gown. Here are my 10 statement gown suggestions for the non-boring glamorous bride.
Your wedding gown can be the best and worst thing you splurge your money on. It’s the best because you are the star of your own night that is hopefully going to happen once in a lifetime. It’s the worst because you are usually so obssesed with looking perfect and since it’s your only shot you pay your monthly salary on a safe gown you will never be able to wear again. I’m not going to lie, I choose one of the safest I could find since I was on mission impossible with 2 months to find a gown and I still regret not getting something more memorable. On the plus side, you don’t feel like you’re on a nostalgia train when you look at your wedding photos because it’s classic (take Carolyn Bessette Kennedy’s timeless look and Princess Di’s extravagant 80’s portrait) but I wish I could have wowed more people.
A future bride with the money and in need of ideas? Here are my 10 statement wedding gown choices from the collections of bridal fashion week 2015.
