Hella Coachella

hbz-coachella-street-style-day2-32-lgEvery year I vow to never give in to “festival dressing”, buying fringy or super short stuff – stuff I can never wear anywhere else but a festival…

You know the type; crochet dresses with holes in strategic places, weird colored cropped tops or rompers (which I sadly experienced that actually ARE NOT appropriate for festivals unless they have snap closures at bottom, always think about the toilet situation beforehand people) basically anything that is on sale at Nasty Gal, I consider festival wear.

But as years passed, the desire to obtain maximum comfort kicked in – as well as the privilage to live in a city where you can wear absolutely anything you want, and I started to think that festival wear may actually turn into basic summer wear. Already owning denim dungarees, kimonos, oversized denim jackets, printed shorts, peasant blouses and millions of flat shoes helped the process though. Ah who I’m kidding, I love festival wear and I love the looks from Coachella that took place this weekend. We may have 26 degrees of weather one day and snow the other, but come June and we’ll fest the place up all over Montreal for 3 months straight! (That’s the spirit.)
