I knew I could count on Riccardo Tisci to save me from my misery; he never dissappoints me. And you have no idea how much I need that, after seeing that god awful YSL (SLP my a..) collection yesterday. Oh my god, there are no words to describe how bad I feel for YSL, which was basically my favourite brand in the whole world. Hedi Slimane, whose other work I truly appreciate, has turned the brand into a cheap, styleless street fashion brand. Everybody could do grunge better than that.
Anyway, enough about YSL. Lets turn back to my favourite designer and brand, which always lights up my mood. Looks like the sweater thing is going to go on for a while; this time with Bambi (and probably other cartoon characters will follow) prints and image collages. He masterly crafted the embellishments on sheer fabric again and with the belts on waistline – he balanced the masculine&feminine perfectly. I have such an admiration for Tisci’s vision and talent; he paves this fashion way we all take during our style journey, which hopefully will not end any time soon. (I can’t tell you how terrified I am thinking what would happen if he leaves too.)
