Eventhough these faux thingies have horrible thermal insulation and I know that real leather would be fantasticly good at keeping my ass warm in this freakish weather; I am always in good conscience whenever I’m not a part of any kind of animal slaughter. I’m not a vegetarian and I have leather accessories, so I will not be a hypocrite and say that I do my best to protect animals and environment; but at least I choose vegan/faux leather or fur and if I absoultely want to buy the real deal I always buy vintage. That way I feel like I haven’t paid anyone to kill one more just for my sake. Obviously consuming less is a better option, but I’d like to keep my objectives more realistic. Though I feel really bad about the mountain of clothes I own – more on excess consumerism later.
