Zeynep Tosun jumbled Victorian with western, and somehow managed to make it work for her F/W 2013-14 collection. This collection was clearly way more brave than her previous ones; much more significative and she showed, once more, that the is the queen of tailoring and exquisite details. Excessive leather were used so cleverly and so precisely that even the minimal goddess inside you wants to wear that rodeo top or the insane cowboy boots. She carried on her “combining masculine shapes with feminine fabrics” tradition, this time with ruffled collars and embellishments. I’m not going to call her the “up-and-coming” Turkish designer anymore; she is the pride of all Turkish people who value design and creativity over everything else (and I’m more than proud that I used to be her PR when I was in Turkey).
