Irish born Sadhbh Isabelle McCormack graduated with a honors in Jewelry and Metalwork from the National College of Art and Design in 2007 and in 2011, from the Royal College of Art in London in the department of Goldsmithing, Silversmithing, Metalwork and Jewelry.
In 2006 Sadhbh won the young Designer of the Year award, while attending the National College of Art and Design. Her collection was produced by Newbridge Silver company who hosted the competition. Her designs were sold as part of the Newbridge limited edition range. Sadhbh’s final and most recent collection was exhibited at the Royal College of Art as part of the graduate show.
The designer believes that jewelry can give power to the wearer and that the large scale of her pieces increases the strength, the power and confidence of a person. She appreciates the use of the beauty and precision of machine and computer aided design, but she also considers to be important the understanding of the material through hand craft techniques. Sadhbh aims to create a sense of calm, balance and purity through her designs.
